On the way down to Maryland, the odometer on my truck froze at 173 thousand and between 399 and 400 miles. It stayed that way for at least fifty miles or so, before resuming motion today. Makes me wonder how many miles the truck really has on it.

Wait, is this the same truck that was declared dead at one point? Has it undergone a resurrection? I think you should name the truck Autolazarus, in light of its self-resurrection.
This is indeed the same truck. I pronounced it “dying,” and it has been in said condition since early May. I figured I may as well drive it until it dies completely. One of the more recent bad habits it has is that the gas pedal gets stuck in the down position. And it’s getting a bit tough to drive at night, because the headlights started shutting off for about ten seconds at a time, and then coming back on again.
