Your God Isn’t Big Enough.

Jambi City A first-hand account of a young woman leaving behind a limited idea of God for something more universal and true.  Like all things that feel real, fascinating.

http://busingers.ca/home/andrew-paul-macdonald-composer I have had this conversation with numerous people whose religious ideas have been tested in the furnace of the world: and the great question always remains, “After all the disillusionment with limited religion, what is left?”  For many people the answer is, not much.  Sometimes this is felt as a complete loss: but for me I have felt it as a healthy purge that has allowed true religion to flourish.  Indeed I would not for anything go back to a youthful religion, and I consider this religious insight to be the single greatest boon of getting older.  It is an old story, and it is nice to get on the right side of it.  Jesus himself waged a battle with religion conceived in limited terms, and Paul took it even further.  “Now only these three remain: faith [maybe trust], hope, and love.  But the greatest of these is love.”

I want a religion that is truly catholic, truly universal in this way, that it leaves nothing out, and fears nothing.
