Not just gotten a bit viscous – the damned thing was frozen solid. I announced this to the laundromat, and turned the open bottle upside down to prove it. A Mexican guy started laughing his ass off, and came up to me saying not a word – he just took the bottle, felt the cold through its sides, and turned it upside down himself, laughing with me the whole time. A great example of meeting, as described in an earlier essay.
